HURRICANE DRINA FEBRUARY 2022 WINNER
Wavebuilder: How long have you had waves?
Hurricane Drina: I have had waves on and off since 2008 but seriously waving since March 2020.
WB: What is your wave building routine?
HD: Wave Building routine is a wash & style twice a week. Moisturizer, oil, butter in between and a whole lot of brush work in the most of it all.
WB: What kind of brush do you use and how many times a day do you brush?
HD: I use 7 row Royalty brushes more than any other brush but I have been running with the 360JeeY V1 lately. I don't really count the number of times a day I brush cause it varies but I get a lot of laps in when I have the time.
WB: What are your favorite wave building products?
HD: Any all natural moisturizers, growth oils, and butters are my go to products. I try to stay away from it if it's not all natural.
WB: Besides building waves what do you like to do?
HD: I like to maintain my durag business hdrags.com, spend time with my wife, and travel.
WB: What do others love about your waves?
HD: Others love the fact that I have some many waves and they are all connected, the healthiness of my hair, the shine and how the look in person for the people that have seen them in person.
WB: Any advice for wavers just starting out?
HD: My advice would be healthy hair first, start from the crown out, find what natural products work for your hair. And once you enter the wave community be you! Don't change who you are for no one.
WB: How does it feel to be Wave King?
HD: Being Wave King feels amazing. It's something I really wanted to achieve and I was able to do it.
